A white metal coated copper alloy heraldic mount of the post-medieval period. The mount was formed of several elements, of which the surviving two are recorded here. The mount is likely to have been a representation of a full coat of arms, with crest and possibly supporters and would have been large enough to mount on a plaque or possibly an architectural element, although a plaque seems more likely. The surviving elements comprise the crest, a probable marquess crown with cap of maintainance that measures 49.9mm wide x 37.5mm high and weighs 20.2grams. The second element is the head …

An incomplete copper alloy medieval (AD c.1150-c.1450) possible brooch, missing its pin and almost half of its frame. Overall the object measures 25.5mm long, 20.6mm wide and 6.3mm thick. It weighs 2.90g. The object appears to be part of the open frame of a lozenge, square or rectangular shaped brooch with a large spherical-headed (5.6mm in diameter) rivet at each corner. An incomplete Post-Medieval rectangular copper-alloy dress hook of possibly Reads Early Post-Medieval Class C, Type 2. It is missing the hook due to old breaks, now worn. The front and back plate survive but are no longer held together. The front plate is flat with a flanged seam line where the two halves would have originally been joined together. The clasp falls into Read's Class E, Type 3: sub-circular single sharp-hooked clasps. An exact parallel can be found in Read, 2008, Hooked-Clasps & Eyes, 104, no. 402. A complete copper alloy mount of probable Roman date. The mount is circular in plan with an openwork triskele design, though with four tendrils rather than the usual three. Four straight arms project, each joining slightly off centre to create a central near-square perforation, and continuing to the outer frame.
