A cast copper probable mount of a vesica or eye- shaped dating to the Roman period, (AD43-410). The object is oval in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The centre of the object is raised and flat and is inlaid with four triangles of blue glass. The glass forms a flower-like design. The edges of the object are 'crimped' with ridges of copper alloy radiating outwards from the central design.
