An incomplete rectangular copper-alloy Medieval buckle plate of folded sheet type. It is missing one plate due to old breaks, now worn. It is flat. The frame end is recessed to accommodate the frame and has a rectangular pin slot. The front face is decorated with longitudinal rocker decoration. At the attachment end is a central circular rivet hole. This buckle plate measures 34.07mm in length, 11.82mm in width, 0.71mm in thickness, 1.81g in weight. There is a similar example from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, p. 94, no. 421).

An incomplete rectangular copper-alloy Medieval buckle plate of folded sheet type. It is missing the back plate due to old breaks, now worn. The front face of the buckle plate is flat. There is a central circular pin hole with a parallel circular rivet hole at the opposite end. The front face is decorated with traces of incised rocker decoration. The back face is undecorated. This buckle plate measures 29.83mm in length, 16.55mm in width, 0.47mm in thickness, 1.79g in weight. There is a similar example from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, pp. 75, no. 310).

The outer straight edge is decorated with two protruding outer knops and two knops in between. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed. A Medieval copper alloy buckle frame. It is sub-oval in shape with two straight sides and two shorter curved sides. Extending from either corner of the straight outer side are two large sub-circular knops. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed. The two large knops are probably exaggerated versions of those seen on buckles 544-548 from Meols (Griffiths et al. 2007, 90). An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1350-c. 1650). The pin is missing. The frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear. Each loop is similar in size and oval in plan. The narrowed bar is triangular in cross-section. This frame is corroded brown and green. Length: 23.5mm; width: 19.1mm; thickness: 2.8mm. Weight: 2.46g. A fragment of a copper alloy medieval (AD c.1250-1400) single loop spur buckle with an integral plate, missing its frame, pin and parts of the plate. Overall, it measures 15.0mm long, 10.4mm wide and 3.5mm thick. It weighs 0.83g. The buckle plate is broadly rectangular in plan, expanding slightly in width at the broken end (the loop end). There are two circular perforations. One, at the centre, contains a copper alloy rivet, while the other is missing one side as a result of the break. Two copper alloy strap buckles of the medieval period, c. AD 1300-1500. The rectangular buckles are small, the largest measuring only 34.6mm long x 11.1mm wide and 5.2mm thick. Both retain their buckle plates, which are formed by folding one sheet of copper alloy over the buckle bar and securing the plate to the strap by one or two small rivets. The pin is extant on one of the buckles.
