A copper alloy Medieval to Post-Medieval (1350-1600) double oval buckle frame with pin intact (and possibly missing a plate). The buckle measures 22.12mm x 17.24mm x 2.55mm and weighs 1.62g. The internal measurements of the loops are c.12x6mm. The integral bar is roughly square in cross section and extends either side of the frame. The buckle has bevelled edges (they slope inwards when viewed from reverse). The pin is sheet copper alloy cut to a point at its end and of a different copper alloy than the frame.
