A Medieval copper alloy incomplete device for hanging a lamp. It has a circular suspension loop on a long stem at the base of which three short arms extend at a righ-angle. Each arm is flattened and tapers towards the end, culminating in a small rectangular plate pierced with a circular hole. Several similar examples have been recorded elsewhere on the PAS database including: NARC-835914, NARC-56C802, NMS149. An incomplete copper alloy medieval (AD c.1350-c.1400) bar-mount with separate rivets, missing a small fragment from one of the end lobes. Overall the object measures 15.4mm long, 8.4mm wide and 3.5mm thick. It weighs 1.03g. The mount consists of a domed oval lobe (flat on the revese) with a sub-rectangular lobe at each end. Each end lobe has a rivet hole containing a copper alloy rivet. The whole of the front of the mount is decorated with crosshatched grooves.

A Roman copper alloy incomplete nail cleaner with moulded neck and shouldered blade. It has a circular suspension loop set at a right angle to the blade, which contains traces of iron corrosion product. Below this is short handle with bead, reel and spool mouldings. The blade is leaf-shaped and its tip is missing. A very similar example was found at Lion Walk, Colchester (Crummy 1983, 58, 1872). Crummy (ibid.) suggests that this is a developed form that was in use from the mid to late 1st century, probably continuing into the 2nd century.

Circumstances of Discovery
On the 20th August 2012, a group of six object(four copper alloy objects and two joining fragments of sheet gold) were discovered through metal detecting on cultivated land, after deep-ploughing. The finds comprised of: two joining fragments of gold sheet, two cast copper alloy rings and two fragments of copper-alloy casting residue/ingot (one of which is possibly a casting jet or casting residue).

An incomplete copper-alloy semi-circular back plate from a dress hook of Post-Medieval date. It is missing the front plate due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat and undecorated. Towards the base of the plate is a pair of circular rivet holes, still containing the corroded remains of separate iron rivets. At the bottom of the plate is an integrally cast hook. This is D-shaped in section, tapers to a point and bent forwards. The top of the hook is decorated with two transverse grooves.

It has suffered damage to its edges, probably as a result of ploughing. The mount consists of a domed oval lobe (concave on the reverse) with a sub-rectangular lobe at each end. Each end lobe has a rivet hole containing a copper alloy rivet. The central lobe is decorated with crosshatched grooves.

A complete and flattened cast copper-alloy domed type thimble of Post-Medieval date.
The rim is unthickened and has a circumferential groove. The straight sides are covered with extensive circular indentations that spiral from the crown to the base of the thimble.
This thimble measures 18.56mm in height, 21.89mm in diameter, 1.11mm in thickness, 6.12g in weight.
There are similar examples from London (Egan, 2005, pp. 132, no. 629).

A Roman copper alloy incomplete trumpet brooch. It has a plain, slightly flattened trumpet head. To the rear part of the spring remains in situ, secured by an integral lug. Above this is a short projection, which probably supported a loose wire headloop originally. The bow is strongly curved in profile with an acanthus moulding in the centre extending all the way around and flanked by two grooves. A complete and flattened cast copper-alloy domed type thimble of Post-Medieval date.
The rim is unthickened. The straight sides are covered with extensive circular indentations that spiral from the base to the shoulder of the thimble. The top is rounded with a continuation of the spiral indentations.
This thimble measures 20.01mm in height, 26.68mm in diameter, 1.22mm in thickness, 10.54g in weight.

An incomplete and damaged circular copper-alloy sheet spherical bell of Medieval date. It is missing its lower half and pea due to old breaks, now worn.
There is a flanged seam line where the two halves would have originally been joined together. At the top are the remains of a separate copper-alloy loop. This is inserted upwards through a hole cut in the upper half of the body and the ends were bent outwards and then inwards, so that the loop remained rigid rather than swivelling. Incomplete post-medieval copper alloy tap, with the key and most of the circular inlet pipe missing. The key housing is octagonal externally and circular internally. Between the key housing and the sub-square sectioned mouth there is a spur or projection on the upper face. This is a common 16th- and perhaps earlier 17th-century form (Baart et al. 1977, nos. 657-60; Allan 1984, 345, fig. 193, no. 180; Goodall, A. in Saunders 2012, 115, cat. no. 245; HAMP-751C23). Egan (1998, 242-4) points to Continental examples of as early as c.1460. Extant length 88m. Width 22mm.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy purse bar of Late Medieval to Early Post-Medieval date. Only part of one bar survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.
The bar is cylindrical and undecorated. At the base of the bar are two integral evenly spaced circular sewing holes with the remains of a third.
This purse measures 74.64mm in length, 5.50mm in diameter, 12.22g in weight.
There are similar examples recorded on the PAS database (LVPL-04DAE1), (SUSS-29A030), (IOW-2967C7), (LEIC-B21452).

A Roman copper alloy incomplete symetrical plate brooch. It is lozenge shaped with a central lozenge recess on the outer face containing a raised annulet in the middle with four smaller annulets arranged around the outside. The central annulet contains traces of green enamel. At each corner of the plate is a circular projection. The outer faces of these are decorated with a central circular recess, each encircled by a groove.
