A 16th century cast copper alloy sword belt fitting. The fitting comprises a plate with trefoil terminals and with three integral pendant loops for the attachment of hooked straps. The plate is decorated with foliate motifs as is typical for fittings of this sort. Three iron rivets survive.

I have examined two coins reported found together in Gloucestershire. Both coins are silver denars from central Europe in the early 17th century. One is an issue of the Holy Roman Emperor Matthias, as king of Hungary (1608-19), dated 1617. The identity of the other is less clear, as some of the inscription is obscure. There is no question that it is a similar coin in terms of its denomination and general origin.
