Copper alloy button and loop fastener. Cast fastener comprising a toggle formed as a dumbbell button of two conjoined spheres, but with an integrally cast triangular loop springing from a thick central moulding between them, and offset behind the toggle. The loop is now torn. The dumbbell button is a form of Late Iron Age and Early Roman currency. Suggested date: Roman, 43-300.

Copper alloy button and loop fastener. Cast rectangular plate with an open triangular loop of length 22mm behind it, now bent but originally with the loop in the same plane as the plate, Wild class 6a. The surface of the plate is divided into two rows of five rectangular cells apt to retain enamel within a wide plain border, though scant trace of colourant now remains. Suggested date: Early Roman, 100-200.
