Incomplete cast copper alloy sword belt hanger, missing its hook at one end, with openwork decoration in the form of a trefoil plate with three apertures: two teardrop-shaped and one heart-shaped. The plate then narrows to a bifurcate collar, and then tapers slightly to a bar which is rectangular in plan, profile and section, and broken at its terminus. There is a rounded knop beyond the ovoid plate, which probably extended to encompass a rivet hole at this end of the hanger, and there may have been another attachment plate at the opposite end where the hanger tapers and is broken.
