Cast copper alloy uniface circular coin weight of a half noble. The flan depicts a ship with two lions, facing each other on either side of the mast, above a forecastle and an aftcastle which sit on four lines of brick-like planks that represent the ship's hull. The weight weighs 2.97g, or 46 grains, which is less than the 54 grains used for the half noble between 1412 and 1464, but closer than that used for the quarter noble at this time, which was 27 grains (Withers, 1995, 68).
