An early Post-Medieval (c. 1500 - c. 1700) copper alloy book-clasp: The body of the book clasp is a long, slender rectangle with a off-set rectangular protrusion at one narrow edge, whose edge is curled downwards forming the clasp element. There are two rivet holes, one on the opposite edge of the clasp, and is off-centre, the other is towards the clasp, but not on the edge. Late Iron Age to early Roman (c. 100 BC to c. AD 100) simple terret. The copper alloy terret is fragmentary. What remains is a portion of the loop, the collar and the cross bar. The loop is slender and tapers towards a break. This curvature on this portion of the loop is quite shallow which is unusual. The collar at the lower terminal of the loop is an expanded oval in plan. Medieval (c.14th/15th century) possible sword pommel: The pommel is the lead which would then be encased in a copper alloy shell. The artefact has a base which has a off-centre annulet within an irregular concave base. In plan the base is hexagonal, and in profile the lower portion is vertical and the upper portion is a conical whilst maintaining the hexagonal section. The surface has a beige coloured patina. A Roman Polden Hill type brooch (AD c. 80-120): The copper alloy brooch is incomplete. The wings are semi-cylindrical, but both are fragmentary. The edges of the wings, behind the bow head, is heavily abraded. The axis bar, spring and pin are all missing. The bowhead is hump-like in profile and is undecorated. The bow is oval in section, and gradually tapers to a break which is not recent. The surface of the brooch has an incomplete light green patina.
