A cast copper alloy artefact possibly a large Early Medieval shroud hook of 8th-9th century AD date. The object is comprised of a central 41mm long elongated barrel-shaped body, the faces of which are slightly facetted giving it an almost oval hexagonal cross-section. Either side of the central body the cross-section changes abruptly to circular and forms approximately 25mm long tapering points. Incomplete cast copper alloy double-looped sub-oval buckle, with an intact strap bar, but missing one loop. There are moulded and engraved rosette knops on the outer edges of each loop. There are also moulded and engraved trefoil knops at each end of the strap bar. Between the rosettes and the trefoils there are further bifid mouldings on the sides of the frame. A cast copper-alloy circular wheel from a Post-Medieval pastry jigger. Both faces are slightly convex. It has radiating grooves and ridges and a serrated, zig-zig circumference for cutting. It is pierced centrally for an axis bar which would have been secured to a handle. The object has an overall mid-green patina with corrosion in the recesses. Diameter: 28mm; thickness: 2.3mm. Pastry jiggers, complete with handles, are illustrated in Bailey 1995, p96-97. Circa 18th century.

Cast copper alloy double-looped buckle with external lobed knops at each corner of the frame and at either end of the strap bar, missing its pin. The loops are oval in plan and plano-convex in section with a bevelled inner edge. The bar is narrowed and recessed and triangular in section. There are a few patches of black lacquer remaining on both the upper face and the back of the frame. Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar buckle frame on page 63, No.382, which is dated from c.1550-1650.

A cast copper alloy slender vessel leg and integral foot, probably from a skillet or ewer. The leg and foot are sub triangular in cross section with a moulded front and flat back. The apex of the triangular section forms the outside centre of the leg and foot. The leg has a flute either side of a central projecting shin and tapers to a waist at approximately 36mm at which point the flared foot is divided from the leg by a raised 4mm wide moulded collar. A cast copper-alloy ring, possibly a finger ring, of uncertain Medieval or later date. It is annular in form, D-shaped in section with flat back and rounded front face. There is no sign of any surviving decoration on either the interior or exterior of the band. It measures 22.40mm in diameter, 2.71mm in height, 1.45mm in thickness and 1.38g in weight. This is a simple copper-alloy ring, perhaps used as a finger ring although a differing function cannot be rule out entirely. It is like to be of Medieval or later date.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy crotal bell of Post-Medieval date. It has an integrally cast rectangular suspension loop at the top, with a central rectangular aperture. The upper half of the bell has opposing circular sound holes but is otherwise undecorated. At the centre of the bell is a prominent circumferential casting ridge. An incomplete sheet copper alloy handle attachment plate, from a skimmer, of Medieval to Post Medieval dating (AD 1450 to AD 1700). The attachment plant has been constructed from two pieces of sheet copper alloy metal, that has been riveted together with rolled sheet copper alloy rivets. The handle is now in four fragments. A complete Medieval cast copper alloy heraldic harness pendant. The pendant is trefoil shaped, with an offset integral circular suspension loop. The front is decorated with a heraldic motif depicting three identical bifoliate and fleur de lys crowns. There are the remains of some reddish brown enamelling. These arms are the arms of the Bishop of Ely - gules three crowns. The pendant is 41.9mm high, 28.9mm wide and weighs 12.19 grams.
