A cast copper alloy possible strap fitting dating to the Early Medieval period. The body of the object is sub-triangular in shape and hollow. Each face is decorated with a long triangular perforation measuring 14mm in length and 7mm in width at the base. On the front and rear faces of the object are three more perforations. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper alloy 'S'-shaped 'snake belt' fastener (c. 1550 -c.1625). The fastener is decorated on both faces with animal head terminals and with moulded scale-like decoration. At the centre there is a four-knopped moulded collar. The object has a coarse surface with a green patina. S-shaped 'snake belt' fasteners were probably associated with sword belts in the 17th and 18th centuries and parallels can be seen in Read's (2008) Hooked-clasps & Eyes: p. 230. A Medieval copper-alloy bar mount with pendent loop. The object comprises three joined elements. A flat-sectioned, parallel-sided strip of copper-alloy has been bent into a 'U' shape, creating a clip which would have fitted on to the bottom side of the now-missing strap. A copper-alloy rivet links the two upper ends of this clip and also joins it to the second element. This second piece takes the form of a stylised, inverted, crowned head. A Medieval copper-alloy bar mount with pendent loop. The object comprises two joined elements. At the top, there is a vertically aligned bar with projecting, rearward loop at its base. A separately cast frame is suspended from this loop. The bar is of 'D-shaped' section and contains two in situ copper-alloy rivets.
