Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type(Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 1.d). Rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings which would have held the spring support bar, one wing is missing. The bow is plain, except for stepped shoulders flanking the sides of the head. The lower part of the bow is missing resulting in the loss of the catch plate. Date 50-140 AD.

Copper alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 5.c, flat wing ends type, Western Group). Rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings that hold the pin support bar, the spring is made from ten curls, most of the pin is missing. There is a loop at the top of the head that extend into a crest that runs down the front of the head in the centre of a triple moulded chevron pattern, the loop holds the external spring cord. An incomplete Roman copper alloy bridge type plate brooch dating to the period c. AD 100 - 200. The brooch is missing the pin and part of the catch plate. It measures 35.94mm in length, terminal to foot and has a maximum width of 11.68mm across the bow. It weighs 4.65g. The terminal at the head projects at an angle of roughly 90 degrees from the bow and features a small horizontal ridge 1.46mm from the tip of the terminal. An Iron Age copper-alloy brooch of La Tène III, Knotenfibeln type, dating from the early 1st century BC. The now-damaged brooch has been made from a single piece of metal. The bow is of 'D-shaped' section, flaring towards the top, where it extends into the four coils of the spring, with its internal chord and missing pin. A moulding of four transverse ridges is located approximately one third of the way down the bow, which tapers to a pointed foot and damaged, unperforated catchplate. A Medieval copper-alloy open-frame brooch. The circular frame is of triangular section, its downward sloping inner face decorated with six equally-spaced, empty, collets. In addition, a series of transverse grooves gives the upper edge a toothed appearance. The pin is missing, but it would have been attached at a constriction in the frame. The near-vertical outer side of the frame displays evidence of filing, as does the flat underside. A fragment of a cast copper-alloy Roman rosette brooch, dating from the first century AD. The remains of the brooch consist of a small portion of the front and reverse surfaces of the original cylindrical spring cover including a notch on the reverse side to accommodate the pin, in addition to eight of the original c. ten spring coils. Fragment of an abraded Roman copper alloy Colchester Derivative Hinged brooch of uncertain type, with the pin, the outer parts of the wings and almost all of the bow missing. The frame is of sub-rectangular cross-section and there are six round collets, with the probably glass stones missing. Three contain white fixative and three are empty with punctured bases.
