Medieval to Post Medieval (c. 12th to mid 19th century) cooking vessel rim: The rim, in profile, is slender and tapers to a blunt edge. The only original edge is the rim, the other edges of the fragment are all broken, but not recently. The interior surface is smooth with the external surface being slightly rough with traces of a black substance which is carbon deposits presumably. The surface is a mid to dark green/grey colour. Probable Post Medieval cast lead uniface token. The token carries a design consisting of a a saltire. The reverse is undecorated. The surface is a matte yellow/cream colour. The token measures 21.38mm long, 19.97mm wide, and weighs 6g. Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as use as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets, weights, etc. and are believed to have been locally produced; they are therefore difficult to date precisely. The incomplete item weighs 10.98g and has a decorative circular plate of 28.7mm diameter, and thickness of 1.2mm. A strip of lead, of irregular sub-rectangular shape with a flattened oval cross-section, that has been curved round into an oval loop with the ends butting together. This artefact weighs 17.97g (0.63oz). The strip has a width of 14.1mm, thickness of 4.2mm and length of 56.0mm forming an oval of 19.3mm length and 15.5mm width. This crude weight might have been used to weigh items or alternatively to weigh down something (with the possible use being a fishing weight) or to add tension to a cord. The date of this artefact is uncertain.

A small corroded copper alloy foot probably from a skillet, ewer or small cooking cauldron. The foot tapers inwards from the point where it was fixed to the vessel. It is trapezoidal in both plan and cross section. All surfaces are flat with a bevelled front face. The vessels to which these legs attached were usually of a tripod form and were widely used from circa 1200-1700 AD for serving and cooking. The object is 34mm long and 25mm at its widest point across the foot.

An incomplete post-Medieval cast or wrought copper-alloy Jews harp (c. 1500-c. 1800). The iron prong that was plucked to produce a note is missing. In plan, it has a circular head and tapering arms both of which are characteristically lozenge-shaped in cross-section.
