A complete but worn and bent silver penny of Edward III (AD 1327-1377), probably the Pre-Treaty Period of the fourth coinage, c. AD 1351-1361. The reverse has been rubbed almost smooth, making detail hard to discern, however enough can be seen to identify the mint as York, and poosibly the royal issue (plain cross).
