A struck copper-alloy French / Tournai Jetton dating to the reigns of Louis XI (1461-1483) and Charles VII (1483-1497). The original gold colouring has been worn away, there is a small area still remaining on reverse. Surface is in good condition and legends can be read. Even surfact patina. See Mitchener 594 (p208, 1988) Obverse: Diamond field with four fleurs in the centre. Diamond is surrounded by four lozenges. Obverse Legend: LOCHCE/A/DIEV/[ ]EVVI (legend begins with cross patee.
