Fragment of a looped shank, possibly the top of an early Anglo-Saxon girdle hanger. The shank is elongated in plan and D-shaped in section. At the top is a loop set at 90 degrees to the shank. The shank has a series of moulded facets at the top, and leads to the break below. A second rectangular sheet of copper alloy is riveted to the shank in two places (one rivet survives), and this might be an ancient repair. This too is broken.

An incomplete early Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. Only the lower half survives. At the top is a fragment of the bow. This leads to a faceted rectangular panel, and in turn to an elongated animal head with large pellet eyes and rounded snout. Catchplate on reverse.

An incomplete early Anglo-Saxon small long brooch. The head is incomplete, but has a square panel with a wing extending to either side. One is incomplete, and the other terminates with a crescent. The bow is arched and faceted; the foot is rectangular and has a catchplate on the reverse. The terminal is missing.

Fragment of an early Anglo-Saxon brooch, probably a Cruciform or Florid Cruciform variety. The section just below the bow survives. This comprises a rectangular panel containing a central ringed dot motif. Three pairs of crescents decorate the perimeter to either side. A crescent shaped panel extends to either side, each containg three dots, or possibly ringed dots. Two transversly incised lines decorate below; and this leads to an incomplete narrowed panel decorated with punched triangles along the perimeter. A catchplate is situated on the reverse.

Fragment of an early Anglo-Saxon Florid Cruciform brooch. The surviving panel depicts a human mask. This has thick crescent-shaped eyebrows and large pellet eyes. The nose is triangular, large, and the mouth appears to be open. The back is flat, and the object is broken above and below. Similar to NMS-C89482 and NMS-2AB1B7.

The neck is decorated with a convex rib running down the centre. A small domed circular glass setting represents the eye. A medieval cast lead button. It is plano-convex and contains four raised ribs forming a cross, decorated with pellets. A triangular tab extends inwards from each angle; these are also decorated with pellets. A casting seam is visible on the reverse. A hole is visible in the centre. Similar to LIN-E64895. A cast lead object, possibly a gaming piece or weight and perhaps of later Early-Medieval date. It is pyramidal in form, now slightly misshapen due to post-depositional damage, with rounded head and flat bottom face. The four sides of the pyramid each carry a recessed triangular field. A sub-rectangular recesses field possible runs around the edge of the base, giving the impression that each face is decorated with ribs forming an 'A' shaped frame. It measures 15mm in height, 15mm in length, 15mm in width, and 14.27g in weight. The precise function of this object remains uncertain. …

A possible lead gaming piece dating to the later Early Medieval period, circa 800-1066. The object is conical, solid and has a flat base. The top is formed by five strands which are now twisted together, presumably through damage. Similar gaming pieces - sometimes also identified as weights - are know from Viking sites such as the wintercamp at Torksey. See also LEIC-3BFC12 and NLM-6787D0.
