A cast lead alloy shot / ball for use as Buckshot of post medieval date (AD1600-1800). The shot is sub spherical with a relatively well formed surface patina. The shot is flattened in one area - suggesting that it has been fired. There is no sprue scar and no casting seam is present. The colour of the ball is a pale grey / white. The damaged area is consistent with damage caused by compaction with other shot in the load. Similar shot have been dated to the later post medieval period however the date range should extend into the early modern period as similar projectiles were used …

A Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface token, c. AD 1550-1800. Probably Powell Type 25. The token is decorated on one side with conjoined shapes, possibly depicting a debased form of the Prince of Wales Feathers. The other side is undecorated. The token measures 21.2 mm diameter, 1.97 mm thick and weighs 5.2 grams. Tokens were easy to make and distributed widely throughout a large period of time; therefore, they are difficult to date precisely. It is likely that this type, meant to depict particular royal motifs, dates to c. AD 1550-1800.
