A complete copper alloy slide bolt of Roman date. The slide bolt is rectangular in plan with an openwork panel consisting of four openwork triangular cells forming a sub-square then four, long openwork triangular cells forming a sub-rectangle in a tesselated design. A horizontal rectangular projection extends from the right upper edge of the bolt panel. The metal has a dark brown-green patina. The bolt is 70.31mm in length, 17.89mm wide, 5.2mm thick and weighs 15.55g. A similar example is illustrated in Crummy p.124, no.4136 in which it is stated that slide bolts worked as a key…

An incomplete copper alloy Bow-and-fantail brooch of Roman date. Only the triangular fantail survives which appears undecorated. The remains of a worn catchplate can be seen on the reverse of the fantail. The metal has a mid brown-green patina and is very worn. The object is 25.86mm in length, 11.1mm wide, 3.24mm thick and weighs 3.12g. Similar examples can be seen in Hattatt, p.314, fig.173 and are dated to the late 1st Century AD.

A Medieval (1400-1600) cast copper-alloy beehive thimble of cast construction standing 18.71mm tall and weighing 6.35g (with soil inside). The thimble is complete but has been crushed. The thimble is domed with slightly flared sides and a rounded top. The indentations begin at the top in a continuous spiral but then become more random and vertical towards the base . Above the base is a plain rim.
