A cast lead alloy shot / ball for use in a Pistol of post medieval date (AD1600-1800). The shot is spherical with a relatively well formed surface patina. The shot is relatively round and smooth - suggesting that it has not been fired. There is no sprue scar present. The colour of the ball is a pale grey / white. There is some surface damage, probably caused from contact with agricultural machinery, no casting seam is visible. A Medieval silver voided long cross cut halfpenny of Henry III, dating to AD 1247-1248. This coin appears to be a mule between North Classes 1b and 2a (cf. also Wren Class 1b and 2a) as the initial mark is a crescent surmounted by a star at the 12 o'clock position combined with the reverse legend indicating the moneyer, NICOLE instead of LIE TERCI etc. Mint unknown, as it is missing from the remaining cut half. Cf. North 1994 Vol I, p. 226, nos. 984, 985/1.

A Post Medieval gold posy ring. The band is flat and the edges of the ring are rolled outwards to form a slight lip around the exterior. The exterior is decorated with engraved diagonal lines which may have once held enamel. These diagonal lines are within the border formed by the lip. A lead alloy probably medieval spindle whorl. It is circular in plan, bi-convex in profile, and has a central circular aperture of diameter 7.7mm. One face is decorated with a pattern of raised radial lines and pellets, and the other face is decorated with pellets around the face and lines in just one area. There is a small area of damage on one of the faces. The metal has a light grey patina. Decorated whorls are normally considered to date from about AD 1200 - 1600, for comparison see SWYOR-1F6BC4. The whorl is 31.94mm in diameter, 12.85mm thick, and weighs 47.31g.
