Copper alloy nut crackers fragment, as kindly identified by Peter Reavill with reference to Georgian objects featured in 'Gary's odds and sods sheet'. Cast D section hook tapering to a rounded point. The hook springs from a round section shank with an expanded and stepped end which is broken beyond the step. The shank bears two pairs of circumferential chatter marks towards either end, possibly from the operation of the object or possibly caused during finishing, perhaps in a vice. Medieval copper alloy coin weight for a noble, round, uniface, lathe-turned with concentric grooves on the front face, a central blind-hole in the centre of the reverse, file marks across all of the reverse, and on the front a stamped imression of a crown above a fleur-de-lis. In quite fresh condition but with some scuffing around the edge. Weight 6.11g / 94.4 grains. A noble = 108 grains. Diameter 17.5mm. Thickness 3.2mm. An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy Colchester derivative bow brooch with sprung pin, dating to the 1st Century AD. The pin is missing and appears to have been broken in antiquity. The wings are semi-cylindrical in form, containing a coiled spring. There is no decoration on the bow and the catch plate is complete with a small hole. Description: An incomplete gilded silver hooked tag of composite construction. It consists of a circular cast plate with an integral rectangular loop. The front face of the plate is decorated with grooves around its edge and within a six-petalled flower made from silver wire with a circular knop in its centre. The back face has a rectangular scar where a separate hook would have originally been soldered on. Discussion: This dress hook is of Read early post-medieval Class K (Read 2008, p.125). A similar item was found in Essex (2010 T37, ESS-0ED744).

A complete flint retouched flake of Mesolithic to Neolithic date. Formed from a secondary flake - some chalky cortex remains on the left side near the distal end. It is long, narrow and slightly curved in form and sub-trinagular in section. The distal end has a notch at one side and a point at the other, where it was snapped during production. There is a small amount of short, abrupt, irregular retouch along both sides enhancing the curve. The flint is a shiny light-brown in colour. A copper alloy harness or strap fitting probably of Roman or Iron Age date. The object has a small loop which is at a 90 degree angle to the rest of the object. From the loop there is a sub-rectangular section which has four small rectangular cells on each side, each of which is 4.2 mm long. Two cells are still filled with blue enamel on each side and they are diagonally opposite to each other with the remaining two cells on both sides now empty although they may have once also held enamel.
