An incomplete handle from a Post Medieval copper alloy trefid spoon. The handle has a flat rectangular cross section. The wide trefid end has some end damage and tapers (20.4mm to 7.8mm) along its length (55mm) in a slight incurve to an old transverse break. There are substantial remains of a whitemetal coating on both sides. The spoon dates from the latter part of the 17th century.

Medieval gilt copper alloy oval spur buckle, pin missing. The outside edge of the distorted oval frame is straight, wide and with a pin groove. The plate is rectangular and undecorated. There is a pin hole and three rivet holes (one near the latter and two arranged transversely near the inside edge). Length 39mm. Width of frame 18mm., of plate 12.3mm. 13th - 14th century. (field G6)

Medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame with an offset, narrowed bar and a cable pattern on the sides and outside edge formed from fifteen oblique engraved grooves. Length 23mm. Width 31.5mm. Very similar to NMS-595396. Another close parallel (Whitehead 2003, no. 122) is dated 1450 - 1550. A double-looped example with similar decoration from London (Egan and Pritchard 1991, no. 342) was found in a context dated c.1400 - c.1450. 15th century. (field G6)

Post-medieval copper alloy button with an (incomplete) integral drilled loop: biconical, hollow openwork head with a small central nipple and engraved lines between six triangular perforations on the front face, and with six perforations on the rear face. Comparable with Baart et al. 1977, 185, no.235, Margeson 1993, 20-2, fig. 11 no.102 and Read 2005, 30, no. 93. Diameter 10.5mm. 16th century. (field FLO14)

Incomplete lead mount in the form of a symmetrical tree or bush with deeply moulded spiral details and a flat back. The present base is the carefully chopped trunk. A oval blind hole in the centre of the reverse is the only evidence for attachment. It cuts or is cut by a diagonal groove. Height 38mm. Width 44mm. Thickness 12mm at the top, 7.7mm at the trunk. Hole diameter 3.5 and 5mm. Depth 5mm. Weight 98g. No parallel noted. Perhaps 15th - early 16th century. (field FLO9)

Incomplete and abraded probably Late Saxon copper alloy buckle consisting of part of an oval frame and part of an integral plate with a split socket for a strap. The frame survives as only one side and the stump of the other. Next to the junction of frame and plate there is a pin hole, before which the plate is gently waisted. Before this the front face swells to a boss that may once have carried decoration, and was perhaps an animal head. The sides of the plate run parallel from the waist to the break.
