It is sub-rectangular in plan with a rounded distal end, and has a double dorsal ridge making it trapezoidal in section. It has short, semi-abrupt, sub-parallel retouch on the distal end of both sides, and there is edge damage along both sides, perhaps suggesting utilisation as a cutting tool. A Post Medieval cast copper-alloy mount. In plan the mount is a slender piriform shape, with a moulded upper surface and flat back. The reverse has a pair of integral prongs inset from either end, one of which has been truncated by an old break. Both prongs are bent towards the narrow end of the mount. The artefact has a mottled green brown colour. A similar mount has been published and illustrated (Read 2001: 29. fig.22. ref: 328). Mounts of this type are usually dated to circa 17th century AD. It measures 31.2 x 10.6 x 2.3mm and weighs 2.97g.

An incomplete flint thumbnail scraper Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date, about 2700 BC - 1600 BC. It is formed on a secondary grey flint flake which is partially patinated, and cracked, perhaps from exposure to heat. It is broken, with the distal end missing. It is currently sub-rectangular in plan, but would originally have been sub-circular. It is plano-convex in section. There is invasive, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt retouch on both surviving sides. The proximal end is covered with crazed cortex. The scraper is 10.48mm long, 18.8mm wide and 5.13mm thick. 1.23g.
