A cast lead unidentified object of possible post-Medieval date (1500-1800). This object is a cube with chamfered corners. One face has a central circular hole, 1.7mm in diameter and 5.1mm in depth. There is a cut or chop, possibly deliberate, along one edge. The object has an even buff patina overall. Length: 12.6mm; width: 12.6mm; thickness: 12.6mm. Weight: 18.31g.

A fragment of a Bronze Age cast copper-alloy knife blade (c. 1500 BC-c. 750 BC). This blade tip is triangular in plan and lozenge-shaped in cross-section. It has an olive green patina with some corrosion on both faces. The edges are sharp and the transverse break is old. Height: 25.4mm; width at break: 7.5mm; thickness: 1.9mm. Weight: 1.06g.

An incomplete probable post-Medieval cast lead weight (1600-1800). The suspension loop is missing. This weight is spherical and has a hole in which a loop was inserted. The hole is c. 5.0mm in depth and has a diameter of c. 3.0mm. This weight is dull grey and has old scuffs and dents. Diameter: 24.2mm. Weight: 79.23g. (2.7950 ounces).

A fragment of a post-Medieval cast copper-alloy mount (1600-1700). This is one end of the mount which is slightly convex at the front. It is lobed and broken at each end. The rear face has an off-centre tapering spike, circular in cross-section. Adjacent to this spike is a scar where there appears to have been another spike of similar diameter. This mount is shiny and light brown at the front and dull at the rear. Height: 11.5mm; width: 10.1mm; thickness: 1.0mm; thickness including spike: 4.2mm. Weight: 0.57g.

The outer burnished surface is grey and the core and inner surface is reddish orange. Height: 32.0mm; width: 63.6mm; width of rim: 16.8mm; thickness of body: 6.5mm. Weight: 24.73g. Vectis ware is hand-made, well finished and relatively hard, being barely scratched with the fingernail. An incomplete Early Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) to Medieval cast copper alloy harness link or strap distributor (1050-1200 AD). The distributor has four short arms in the form of an equal armed plain cross, sub rectangular in cross section, slightly convex at the top and flat on the underside. At each end of the arm there would have been a sub-circular loop with a sub-circular aperture. On this example, one loop is incomplete and the other three are missing due to breaks. A cast sub buckle frame of later medieval date (1300 - 1450 AD). The frame is an irregular rectangle in plan - its long edges are slightly bowed (convex) with small two projecting transverse ribs on each sideb extending on each edge. The short edge of the front face of the buckle has a V shaped pin rest / notch which is flanked by two groves on each side and two further grooves are present on each corner. A copper alloy gouge most probably from the Late Bronze Age dating to the period c. 1000 - 650BC. The mouth is circular and is now filled with earth. The metal is of uneven thickness around the mouth. There is one casting seams running down each side. The shaft tapers before flaring towards a semi-circular blade. The gouge furrow is triangular and the edge of the blade is rounded. The edge of the blade and part of the gouge furrow are chipped and shows a light green corrosion. The gouge has a dark green patina with brown patination visible in the furrow and along the casting seams. …
