A cast sub buckle frame of later medieval date (1300 - 1450 AD). The frame is an irregular rectangle in plan - its long edges are slightly bowed (convex) with small two projecting transverse ribs on each sideb extending on each edge. The short edge of the front face of the buckle has a V shaped pin rest / notch which is flanked by two groves on each side and two further grooves are present on each corner. An incomplete Medieval to early Post Medieval cast copper-alloy single-loop buckle, c.1250-1500 AD. This buckle frame is 'D'-shaped in plan, slightly convex at the front and the rear is flat. The bar is roughly square in cross-section. The pin is missing. The buckle frame is extremely plain, with no moulded decoration. It measures 37.19 mm long, 24.80 mm wide, 2.44 mm thick and weighs 3.4 grams. Cf. Whitehead 2003, p18.

A medieval copper alloy circular buckle with pin. The buckle has a plain, slightly oval ring of circular cross section. The pin is hooked over the bar with a partially open hook and probably was cast; below the hook the pin tapers gradually to the point. While the frame is worn where the pin joins it there is no obvious pin constriction and thus this item is identified as a buckle rather than a brooch in line with Egan and Pritchard (1991:57, 64), see e.g. No 36 (page 57, Fig.36). A copper alloy Post Medieval buckle. Only part of one loop of the probably double looped buckle survives. The loop is sub-D-shaped with a kidney shaped inner shape. There is a corroded flower motif on the swelling in the centre of the outer edge. The bar, pin and plate are missing. The buckle has a bright green patina. It is 23mm long, 17.5mm wide and 3.4mm thick. 2.5g.
