A copper-alloy bow brooch of Middle Iron Age date. The upper bow is heavily damaged but would originally have consisted of a domed circular plate with a series of concentric ridges on its upper surface. An integrally cast spring mechanism extends from the top of this upper bow and is intact, retaining all five of its coils, with an arched external chord at the apex. The ends of the spring's central void have either been capped or an oval-sectioned axis bar has been inserted.
