Copper alloy Langton Down brooch, this has tubular wings that wrap around the spring encompassing it within a cylinder, the pin protruds from a vertical slit situated in the centre, rear of the wings. Most of the bow is missing having been truncated just below the head, the remaining section is decorated with seven vertical recessed lines. date AD 25-60

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman rosette brooch. It is missing the spring, most of the spring casing, and parts of the foot and catchplate due to old breaks. All surfaces are worn with signs of active copper-alloy corrosion. The spring casing is semi-cylindrical in form, missing both ends and upper surface due to old breaks. At the centre of the head is an incomplete but integrally cast projection that would have originally extended to form the spring but is now incomplete. A complete copper alloy annular brooch of Medieval dating (c. AD 1200 - AD 1400). The frame and the pin are both present. The frame has a lentoid cross section and is circular in shape with a recessed area. This recessed area still contains the original pin. The opposing side of the frame to the recess shows no notching to act as a pin rest. The pin has been made from a piece of copper alloy, sub rectangular in cross section and triangular in plan.
