The arms on the face of the shield are in the form of six horizontal lines of alternating squares in a checkerboard pattern, with most of the raised red enamelled squares remaining. A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy trade weight (c. 1835-c. 1900). This weight is circular in plan with a flaring rim which is bevelled on its upper surface. Within the rim the surface is flat and has a stamped concentric circle. Verification marks consist of an off-centre crown with a sexfoil above at 12 o' clock, C at 9 o' clock, S at 3 o' clock and OO at 5 o' clock.
