An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman developed T-shaped brooch, dating to the late first to mid-second century AD. The brooch is missing the loweer part of the bow and its foot. The brooch has a broken head loop, damage to the arms (which enclose the pin bar) and only a small element of the hinged pin remaining. The bow of the brooch is decorated with a deep recessed X at the head, beneath which is a raised oval setting with triangular cells that would have held enamel, which is now missing. The brooch is missing the lower part of the bow and its foot, however a small part of the catchplate is retained on the inside of the bow. The brooch head is of typical trumpet form with an incomplete head loop. A medieval silver annular brooch frame now slightly distorted dating to the 13th to 14th century AD. The pin is missing and the frame is broken across the constriction for the pin. The brooch is made from a thin wire band of circular section. Two sections of the band, amounting to about half of its length, are spirally fluted with a line of raised pellets along each hollow. Part of a copper-alloy Roman Hod Hill type brooch, dating from the mid 1st century AD. The lower part of the brooch has been lost in antiquity and the pin mechanism is also missing. The headplate is of inverted-subtrapezoidal form, with a central pin slot and the remains of an axis bar cylinder. Two simple mouldings form the parallel-sided upper bow; the area beneath is slightly wider, has a vertical ridge at the centre and straight sides which converge towards the point of the break. The brooch measures 33.21mm in length, 7.09mm at its widest, and 2.52mm at its thickest. It weighs 3.11g. The bow is C-shaped in cross-section, with a bifaced obverse and a concave reverse. It begins with an old break before two horizontally raised ridges, and then tapers down in width to a projectile foot 3.75mm wide. The catchplate is attached to the left side of the reverse and folds outwards in a hook for the pin. It has a small crack at the base and is about 0.79mm thick.
