A complete and worn post-Medieval silver sixpence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), minted at London. Initial mark: coronet, dated 1569 on coin (North 1991: 134, ref: 1997).
Obverse: ELIZABETH.D.G.ANG.FR.ET.HI.REGINA; Crowned bust left with a rose behind the head
Reverse: POSVI/DEV.AD/IVTORE/M.MEV (I have made God my Helper); Square shield on long cross fourchée dividing the inscription with date of 1569 above shield
Diameter: 24.5mm. Weight: 2.79g. DA=12:3.
