Incomplete cast copper alloy heraldic horse-harness pendant in the shape of a shield. The arms on the face of the shield are in the form of six horizontal lines of alternating squares in a checkerboard pattern, with most of the raised red enamelled squares remaining. The recessed areas in bronze would have originally been gold in colour and contrasted with the red enamel and reflected off its glassy surface. The base of the suspension loop survives and tapers to a point where the loop would have been. Without a canton (a square charge which is a diminutive of the Quarter) in the …

A double-struck copper-alloy Roman radiate coin of Carausius, dating from AD 286-293 (Reece Period 14). Reverse type possibly Pax. Mint unclear. The obverse has been double-struck slightly, skipping the image of the bust and the legend. The reverse seems to have been struck once with the reverse type and another time with a similar, yet different bust to the obverse, or it might be an overstrike. It is difficult to edit this entry from the image alone. This coin has been included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.

A worn and incomplete cast copper alloy horse harness pendant, dating to the medieval period. The pendant is quite small and has a lozenge-shaped body with a suspension loop set perpendicular to the body. There is decoration on one side only,. This decoration is hard to discern because of the wear, however it is armorial and appears to consist of a red (gules) background with gilded shapes over. Due to corrosion it is unclear if the shield is divided quarterly or in half. If it is quarterly, which appears probable looking at the pattern of corrosion, and with quarter 3 being red with …
