Broken silver cut half of a voided long cross penny of Henry III (1216-1272), Long cross coinage (1247-1272), bust of king with sceptre on obverse, Class Vf (1256-1258) with larger face and two rows of pellets that form the beard, with a small central pellet at the chin and a pellet above this, and two rows of pellets around the neck, mint of London, moneyer missing.

A Medieval silver voided long cross cut halfpenny of Henry III dating from AD 1248-1250. Mint possibly of Canterbury. Moneyer possibly Nicole. Probably North Class 2 or 3. Cf. North 1994 Vol I, p. 226, nos. 985-988, possibly no. 987. Due to the fact that the coin is cut in half, necessary information is missing that could aid in a more confident identification.
