A cast lead alloy slug or shot for use in a pistol of post medieval date (AD1600-1800). The shot is cylindrical with a relatively well formed surface patina. It is well formed, suggesting that it has not been fired. One end is flat and the other is slightly domed, and the circumference of the cylinder has been shaved, leaving eight facets The colour of the projectile is a pale grey-white.
