The ring dates from the 15th century-early 16th century. An incomplete silver gilt late medieval to early post-medieval 'iconographic' finger ring.
The ring is mostly complete with a rectangular tri-faceted bezel. The hoop is largely D-shaped in cross-section measuring 1.11mm in depth and 4.92mm in width at its narrowest point. The hoop has transverse ropework decoration at the narrowest point, alternating with raised and slightly convex bands. The convex bands are decorated with concentric rings.
