It appears to be a mule with the initial mark on the obverse "K" and on the reverse a fleur. See North number 1871. Patches of copper alloy are showing through the silver. It has a diameter of 24.8mm and is 0.84mm thick. 1.94g.

Copper alloy weight. Cast and turned discoid weight from a nesting set. The weight has a rim around its upper edge and a central projecting discoid handle on a short stalk. Its upper surface bears the stamped numerals 2 and 16 positioned either side of the handle. Above these is a rounded depression with an anchor motif in low relief, indicating the weight has been officially inspected. Which system of measurement this weight respects is less clear: the mass exceeds two sixteenths of an averdepois ounce, and in fact is disconcertingly close to Viking Age module of 4.07gms.
