A corroded and bent Post Medieval (c.1550-1650) copper-alloy hooked mount. The mount is sub-trapezoidal in shape with an incurved upper edge. It tapers towards the inward-turning hook. A broadly oval loop is retained by the hook measuring 8mm in diameter. The mount is shallowly convex. It features two rivet holes, one towards the upper edge, the other just below the centre of the plate, both off centre. The upper hole contains the corroded remains of an iron rivet. A fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman bow brooch. Enclosed wings have a central rectangular slot to accommodate the pin. The iron axis bar through the wings is corroded. The bow is triangular in cross-section. The wings are 24mm and the brooch, although incomplete, is 13mm long from the wings to the break. The top of the bow is 8mm wide, tapering towards the break.
