A silver-gilt hooked tag, missing its basal hook but otherwise complete. The object is semicylindrical, open at either end, with a slightly wider backplate. Filigree lines divide the surface of the cylinder into three equal columns. Each of these columns is decorated by two bosses, set one above the other, with a filigree ring surrounding each boss. A pair of moulded pellets, side-by-side, separates the two bosses, with a further pair of such pellets at both the top and bottom ends of the column. A circular silver cufflink component or button, slightly damaged on its vertical side and projecting, right-angled rim. The upper surface is decorated by a pair of relief-stamped hearts, set side-by-side, with a crown above (Lewis type 1, form A) and a stippled field surrounding. A loop has been attached to the centre of the hollow underside. 'Crown and heart' silver buttons and cufflinks are discussed in detail by Dr. Michael Lewis (2012). Fragment of a post-medieval copper alloy probable buckle frame, a broad straight edge with parts of the very narrow sides, a stump of one and short length of the other. On the front of the edge a foliar motif, a straight-stemmed plant springing in opposite directions from a central square is reserved on a field of white enamel (which has been lost from one half). No good parallel has been noted for the form, but enamel of this type is found on various types of 17th-century metalwork. Width 24.5mm.
