A cast copper-alloy toy gun of the petronel type, dating to the 16th-17th centuries. The circular barrel is hollow with an integral stock supporting the barrel and extending behind the barrel at an angle. It is possible that wear at the back of the metal stock indicates a separate wooden stock has now been lost from the tow. There is a circular opening on the right side of the barrel where it joins the stock, presumably to actually fire the toy. A second hole can also be found on the right side of the gun below that of the barrel, near the bottom edge. This may have been used for th…

A cast copper-alloy Colchester-derivative brooch, dating c. 50-100. The brooch is incomplete, missing the spring pin and the headloop. The head of the brooch has two arms, D-shaped in section, to either side of the upper bow. The base of the headloop can be seen on the top of each arm. The reverse of the head has a cast integral loop for holding the missing spring pin. The bow is also D-shaped in section and tapers to the foot, which terminates with a small disc. The lower bow retains the base of the catchplate, thought the hooked pin-rest is missing.

A copper-alloy strap end of Thomas type A1, dating c. 800-1100. The strap end is largely complete, though has suffered from surface wear and corrosion. The object has a split end, with two circular holes to take rivets, now missing; the outer frame of the upper tap of the split end has been lost, though this is the only missing part of the strap end, along with the rivets. The main panel is decorated with a stylized beast in low relief, and what appears to be enamel in the field around the beast.
