An incomplete cast copper-alloy Thomas type A1 strap end of Early Medieval date, c. 800-1100. The strap end retains the base of the split end and most of the main panel. The object has been heavily damaged and worn, with no decoration retained.

A copper-alloy strap end of Thomas type A1, dating c. 800-1100. The strap end is largely complete, though has suffered from surface wear and corrosion. The object has a split end, with two circular holes to take rivets, now missing; the outer frame of the upper tap of the split end has been lost, though this is the only missing part of the strap end, along with the rivets. The main panel is decorated with a stylized beast in low relief, and what appears to be enamel in the field around the beast.
