Incomplete Roman Colchester copper alloy steelyard weight, a case or shell only, lacking its lead core and iron suspension loop, pear-shaped, round-sectioned with a round opening in the casing at the top and base, the former within a collar. Decoration consists of circumferential grooves, three near the base, three just below the widest part, three more nearer the top and one beneath the collar. Obverse: (Ficitious legend) BEOLE:AVE:VBOLEN:VBOLE, Shield of France charged with three lis around central pellet, surmounted by a crown that interrupts the legend, with pellets and fleurets either side of the shield and within an inner circle. Incomplete medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame, one side and almost all of the offset and narrowed bar missing. The extant end of the bar protrudes at the side. In the centre of the sub-triangular outside edge a pin notch extends to an elaborate knop with engraved chevrons between lateral scrolls. The two halves of the edge are framed by lines of finely executed interrupted rocker-arm engraving giving the appearance of tiny addorsed triangles and within both frames are six short oblique lines of the same. Estimated length and width 24 and 38mm. c.1250 - c.1350 AD.

Incomplete, probably medieval, copper alloy flat mount with a pair of integral square-sectioned attachment shanks on the reverse, probably rectangular, one narrow edge missing. There are two square notches in each of the three surviving sides. A thin deposit of pale grey material on the front face may be tinning or solder. No parallel noted. Extant length 15mm. Width 8mm. Thickness 4.5mm (including shank, length 3.5mm). Perhaps 12th - 14th century.

Slightly distorted medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame with incomplete strip pin, offset, narrowed bar, and wide outside edge. The latter is decorated with a symmetrical scrolled motif in counter-relief and was once inlaid with enamel. One speck of blue enamel remains. Probably a Limoges product. 23 x 38mm. First half 13th century.

Incomplete Early Saxon copper alloy Cruciform brooch of Ã…berg 1926, Group I, lower part of the footplate missing. The fully round top knob is cast separately and presumably attached with solder. It is waisted, decorated with three encircling grooves below and above the waist, and ends in a tab projecting in front of the headplate.
