Early to mid Neolithic serrated implement made from a tertiary flake of pale milky grey translucent flint with small white inclusions. One side and the distal end have been worked into a fine saw. The serration was created by micro flaking (short, parallel, cross abrupt) from the dorsal and ventral sides. The side opposite the serrated edge has a single long, and three much smaller, deliberate removals for 12mm (similar to YORYM-697977). Neolithic (c.3500 to c.2100 BC) polished axe: The flint, knapped, butt of the axe remains. In section the axe is a sub pointed oval which tapers in depth and width to the knapped terminal. This edge has damage, which is not too recent. The opposite edge of the axe is also probably not a recent break, but is square across the axe. The body of the axe has areas of polishing with fine striations and also negative scarring, some of which is due to damage rather than intention. The flint is a mottled beige colour.
