Complete figurine from a vessel or piece of furniture. An anthropomorphic female bust with bun hairstyle and a Bacchic vine and vine wreath head-dress. The hair is swept into five buns, one sitting directly on top of the head, with two on either side. The back of the hair is swept in locks on the side, the centre portion is braided there is a bun at the base. The eyes of the face are uneven, one sitting slightly higher than the other. An incomplete copper-alloy vessel fragment of probable Roman date. Only part of the handle survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn. The remains are semi-circular. The plate of the object is flat with a small raised ridge along the internal edge where the central suspension hole would have been. There is a large raised ridge along the outside edge. This object measures 38.02mm in length, 9.10mm in width, 1.18mm in thickness, 4.94g in weight. This object may be from a patera or skillet.

Lead vessel repair or pot mend. Cast plug for a hole in a vessel of wall thickness c.3mm. Crumbs of an orange oxidised fabric are trapped in the edge of the plug. Patinated on the inner surface of the vessel only. A hole of diameter 2.5mm has been made from the outside of the patched vessel, or the process of mending was unsuccessful. The ceramic fabric and the tidy finish may suggest a Roman date. Suggested date: Roman, 43-410. Length: 38.5mm, Width: 20.6mm, Thickness (overall): 6.1mm, Weight: 21.96gms.
