A complete silver strap slide of probable Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1700). The strap slide is rectangular in shape, with a D shaped cross section. The corners of the outer edges are bevelled. The inside edge is flat with filemarks present. No traces of decoration are present on either side. No signs of attachments or internal prongs are present. It measures 33.2 mm in length, 19.4 mm wide and 5.5 mm thick. The frame is 3.7 mm thick. It weighs 10.0 g. Large and heavy Roman silver finger-ring set with an intaglio. Most of the lower part of the hoop is missing, but is of rectangular profile which expands and swells to triangular shoulders and flat ovoid bezel. Around the top of the ring is a collar of gilding. The intaglio is a pale orange carnelian engraved with a figure of Victory crowning a standing figure of Mars with his head turned the right, unusually away from Victory. Medieval hammered silver coin of Henry VII, a half groat class IIIb, king and archbishop joint issue (North 1712). Rosette stops on the reverse, initial mark is a tun, and the mint is Canterbury. Dates from c1490 to c1500 AD. Obverse legend has been almost entirely removed by clipping. Reverse inner legend reads as CIVI TAS CAN TOR and the outer has been almost entirely removed by clipping. The diameter is 19mm and the weight 1.39g. The coin has been clipped.
