Post Medieval (late 16th to 17th centuries) strap fitting; a decorative mount. In plan, the copper alloy mount is an oval with a large knop at either end. The upper face has a moulded design forming scrolls and foliage. The reverse is undecorated and has two integral spikes which are circular in section, taper to a point and both a bent over slightly. The surface of the mount has a abraded matte green/grey patina. It measures 24.77mm long, 11.72mm wide and 9.03mm thick, weighing 2.2g. Roman (AD c. 69-96) T-shaped brooch: The cylindrical crossbar is formed by being curled around the iron axis bar forming a horizontal seam on the reverse of the crossbar. There is some damage on the reverse of he cross bar. The crossbar has a central slot on the reverse to allow the pin to be hinged which is now missing.
