Roman (AD c. 69-96) T-shaped brooch: The cylindrical crossbar is formed by being curled around the iron axis bar forming a horizontal seam on the reverse of the crossbar. There is some damage on the reverse of he cross bar. The crossbar has a central slot on the reverse to allow the pin to be hinged which is now missing. The outer face of the wings is decorated with triple-stranded transverse ridges in the centre of each wing. A copper-alloy button brooch of early-medieval date (5th - 6th century AD), of Class C. This example is incomplete in so far as its iron pin been lost to corrosion; a trace of corrosion product is present adjacent to one of the lugs (now so abraded that one cannot distinguish the pin lug from catch-plate). The rim is upturned (H.: 3.2mm) and very slightly flared. The upper surface is decorated with a central moulded anthropomorphic face-mask viewed straight on within a line border. Incomplete medieval gilt copper alloy annular framed brooch, just over half survives. The frame is of a flat cross-section and decorated with an outer bordering lines of couter-relief pellets, with arched double lines of pellets on the inner part. External diameter 24.2mm. Internal diameter 14. Thickness 1mm. 13th - 14th century.

Copper alloy Dragonesque brooch head consisting of a long thing neck. The head is made from a curving teardrop shape, in the centre of which is a large ring and dot that has dark blue enamel in the ring and light blue enamel in the dot. At the point of the teardrop is a roundel (this form the snout of the beast) in the centre is a circular recess which would have held enamel. The top of the teardrop extends in to a sub-oval projection, one side of which is raised to form a pair of ears.
