Copper alloy unidentified object. Flat circular plate with opposed projecting elements; one slightly expanded with a rounded end and the other possibly diminishing in its width, and lost from the point of a bend. One side bears the repeated legend: PATENT, a cushion crown motif and the letters GR, which may hint at the official issue of this object. The numerous articles of ammunition reported hereabouts might suggest this to be from a weapon. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1715-1830. Lead musket ball. Cast ball with mould line and an untrimmed casting sprue. The mass, which is over one averdepois ounce, indicates this could serve in a smooth bore musket of military specification. The sprue would not prevent the ball being used so long as it was positioned in line with the gun barrel. It could be deliberately left on a shot intended to be included is a paper cartridge along with its propellant charge of gunpowder. Late Mesolithic flint microlith made from a tertiary flake of pale grey near transparent flint. It is rectangular in plan. Both the proximal and distal end terminate where they have been snapped, leaving hinge fractures. Dorsal ridge runs parallel approximately 1mm from the edge, for the entire length of the microlith. The other mesal edge, 2mm from the ridge, has extremely fine short, parallel, abrupt retouch. Dating from c7000 to c4000 BC. The length is 5mm, width 3mm, thickness 0.5mm, and the weight is less than 0.1g.

An incomplete Early Post-Medieval (1500-1700) copper alloy sword belt fitting, consisting of a hooked plate looped into a suspension loop with a fragment of adjoining mount.
