Lead musket ball. Cast ball with mould line and an untrimmed casting sprue. The mass, which is over one averdepois ounce, indicates this could serve in a smooth bore musket of military specification. The sprue would not prevent the ball being used so long as it was positioned in line with the gun barrel.
