A 17th century copper-alloy token of Christopher Coxal of Boston, struck 1666. Obverse: CHRISTOPHER.COXAL.;Ironmongers' arms. Reverse: [IN].BOSTON.[1666].; C.D.C. Ref: Townsend , T.W. (1983), Seventeenth Century Tradesmen's Tokens of Lincolnshire: The Issuers, Lincolnshire Museums: Occasional Papers No. 2, page 22. NB. The find was not seen by the FLO. It was reported via email. Post-medieval trade token probably dating from the 17th century. The legends are illegible but tokens of similar size with shields on obverse or reverse have been recorded as dating from the later 17th century, e.g. LANCUM-A7959A. NB Find was not seen by FLO.
