Lead and iron wheel. Cast rouletting wheel with a central axle hole of diameter c.2mm, comprising a cylindrical lead drum studded with six offset pairs of iron pins set so as to produce a regular series of depressions when rolled across a surface. The drum may have a larger diameter on one side than the other - a point only discerned when preparing the image of the object, which if correct would have caused it to describe a circle when in use. Lead or lead alloy object of unkown age or purpose, possibly a weight of some sort or maybe for some mechanical use. Probably late Post Medieval to Modern and dating to between c1750 and c1970 AD. The length is 52mm, width 17mm, thickness 13mm, and the weight 52.32g. Similar objects on the database include SUSS-49AD43, HESH-BE39A4 and HESH-674200. It is unlikely that they are casting waste or downgates.

A Post Medieval copper alloy trade weight. The weight is circular in plan and has a raised rim at the top, forming a cup shape. There are stamp marks visible; at the centre is a circle and arranged around this is a crom with a 'W' underneath, a square topped shield with a cross within, and a third unclear stamp. The 'W' probably stands for William III (AD 1694 - 1702).

Copper alloy unidentified object. Flat circular plate with opposed projecting elements; one slightly expanded with a rounded end and the other possibly diminishing in its width, and lost from the point of a bend. One side bears the repeated legend: PATENT, a cushion crown motif and the letters GR, which may hint at the official issue of this object. The numerous articles of ammunition reported hereabouts might suggest this to be from a weapon. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1715-1830. A Post Medieval complete copper-alloy thimble, dating from c. AD 1450 to 1550. The thimble is a 'beehive' type with a tonsured top. The lower rim is slightly raised on the outside. The circular Indentations on the body of the thimble have been hand punched in a left-handed spiral from the tonsured top to bottom rim. The method of manufacture of the body is uncertain (although the indentations are hand punched). The surface patina is a mid green colour. When found, the inside was filled with hard-packed soil which had prevented the shape from being deformed.

A cast copper alloy thimble dating to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700). The object is circular in plan is domed at the top. The thimble is covered with regular pits which appear to be machine made. At the base of the object the surface is un-pitted at the edge of which runs a circumferential groove. The object has a mid-brown patina and is in good condition. It can be dated from c. 1620.

Copper alloy hooked tag form a sword belt or baldrick. This has a circular, concave, domed plate that is pierced in the centre with a copper alloy rivet still in place, the back of the rivet has a roughly cut octagonal plate. At the lower end is a rearwards facing hook that has a double flanged collar separating the hook from the plate, a piercing in the centre of the collar contains a copper alloy rivet.
