Lead or lead alloy object of unkown age or purpose, possibly a weight of some sort or maybe for some mechanical use. Probably late Post Medieval to Modern and dating to between c1750 and c1970 AD. The length is 52mm, width 17mm, thickness 13mm, and the weight 52.32g. Similar objects on the database include SUSS-49AD43, HESH-BE39A4 and HESH-674200. It is unlikely that they are casting waste or downgates.

A cast lead alloy musket ball dating from the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1800). The object is spherical and weighs 22.8g. There is no visible casting line or spru. The surface of the object is irregular and shows signs of post depositional damage probably caused by an animal chewing it. There are several irregular indentations. The object has a light brown.

Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1800. Height: 24.8mm, Width: 14.8mm, Thickness: 1.6mm, Weight: 3.83gms.
